E³.cable supports all established 3D harness design systems.
E³.cable has extensive analysis capabilities. By working with 3D harness design systems it can calculate the cable and wire length and then check the bend radius. It can also run collision checks again and again to include wire and cable information, plus generate the BOM that is passed to 3D harness design systems. In 3D the components are then placed and the wires and cable are routed, and the mapped E³.series attributes concerning the diameter, bend radius or 3D CAD model can then be used to simplify the work in the 3D system.
This enables the flat projection of the harness to be later represented in the 3D system, and then the wire or cable length information can be back-annotated to E³.cable and used to generate information such as an output for the stripping, cutting and marking machines.
