The competition starts on 5th October and ends mid-December. The Entry Period consists of the TWO Rounds as described below. Each Round has unique entry requirements. All required entry deliverables must be received within the designated Round in order for your entry to be eligible for judging.
How you do Sign Up for the competition?
Sign up online between the September 26th and October 1st,2011 or sign up on-site at a local competition taking place between October 1st, 2011 and November 5th, 2011. All entrants must agree to the following in order to participate : SolidWorks Skills Competition Official Rules

- Parts: Design a part using SOLIDWORKS
- Assembly: Provide a library of 20 to 30 parts and they will need to build an assembly using some of these parts.
- Drawings: Generate drawings of what they have designed.

The candidate will be notified on the competition details once they have been qualified to enter the contest. For the Country Level Competition, candidate will be notified on the time, date and venue of the competition, candidate will be tasked to solve challenging engineering questions. The candidate who derived at the right answer within the shortest time will be declared the winner. The winner will then advance to compete in the Regional Competition in Singapore.

- The top two from each country, total of 12 winners will compete with each other.
- Participant will be allowed to “Contact a Professor” for help via webcam, Skype, etc.

- SOLIDWORKS will do a video of the participants in action and promote through social media and virtual event platform.
- 2 nights accommodation and transportation will be sponsor to the top winner & 1st runner up by the local Organiser.
