Engineers use their imagination and analytical skills to invent, design and turn ideas into products. Today, virtually every aspect of our daily lives is enabled in some way by engineers.

In the Skills Competition, we aim to bring young engineers from South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand & Malaysia to exchange tips and tricks on how to design faster and with better accuracy.

SolidWorks welcome all degree seeking students to take the challenge to reach greater heights and take a big step towards fulfilling the dream of a young engineer.

OBJECTIVES

  • Create buzz and increase SOLIDWORKS awareness among university, polytechnic and high school students.
  • Recognize and reward students who have outstanding SOLIDWORKS skills.
  • Provide job opportunities to winners as they have demonstrated high level of SOLIDWORKS proficiency. SOLIDWORKS will help facilitate job placements with key customers’ in-country.

 

WHO CAN JOIN
You are eligible to enter if you meet the following requirements at the time of entry:

  • The Skill Competition open to full time, degree seeking student aged 18 years of age and above at the time of entry and residents of India, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.
  • Employees of Dassault Systems SOLIDWORKS Corp. and its resellers are not eligible to participate.
  • Entries will be judged on multiple criteria that simulate the issues and concerns an engineer faces every day.

 

SIGN UP

  • Candidates will be able to sign up at IME website starting from October 5th, 2011 and ends in October 2011
  • Qualified candidate will be notified via Email on the details of competition.
  • Registration close date and time would be one day before competition date on 5.30PM for each participation place. ANY LATE SUBMISSION WILL BE VOID.

 

JUDGING CRITERIA
All design work must be completed using SOLIDWORKS (e.g. use of imported geometry is not allowed) and SOLIDWORKS design date for the design project, including all part, assembly, and drawing files must be provided in the submission.
