Job Responsibilities

  • Handle full set of accounts and responsible for month-end / year-end financial closing activities, journal postings and prompt submission of relevant reports to the Management
  • To make sure that all accruals and prepayments are posted accurately into the accounting system
  • In charge of reconciliation of intercompany accounts, bank reconciliation, postings and balancing
  • Responsible for the accuracy of all double entries and its prompt update in the accounting system
  • Assist in the development, maintenance and analyze budgets, prepare periodic reports that compare approved budget to actual expenses / costs.
  • Prepare and submit monthly GST returns c/w proper updated filing of related records / information
  • Assist in periodic financial reviews
  • Manage and report on cash flow, profit & loss
  • Prepare and manage banking activities which include Bank Acceptance (BA), Letter of Credit (LC) and Bank Guarantee (BG), etc.
  • Assist in the establishment of charts of accounts and to ensure entries are assigned to proper accounts
  • Set up new suppliers / customers’ account in the accounting system
  • Prepare and liaise closely with auditors and tax consultants for the annual audit, audit analysis and submission of tax returns
  • Prepare corporate income tax computation and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, bankers, solicitors, company secretary and other regulatory authorities on respective activities
  • Responsible for an appropriate accounting and registration of all fixed assets
  • Responsible and maintain an effective data / records management system
  • To adhere to policies and procedures set by the Company and to assist in its review with recommendation for betterment
  • Other duties / projects as assigned by superior from time to time

Job Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma / Post Graduate Diploma / Bachelor Degree /  Professional Certificate in Finance / Accountancy or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of working experience in the related field
  • Proficient in English, Mandarin & Bahasa Malaysia with effective, clear and concise communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to deal effectively with complex and sensitive issues
  • Ability to work independently under minimum supervision
  • Knowledge of methods, practices, accounting terminology, pertinent rules and accounting policy
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office applications and SQL accounting software, UBS, etc
